JP Morgan says in a report that the metaverse is a one trillion dollar opportunity. It also has a presence in the browser-based blockchain world Decentraland. That virtual space to me looks like so many other commercial entities establishing themselves in Second Life about fifteen years ago. Will this also end in a disappointment?
It **blurs the boundaries** between big centralized institutions and the Web3 world. The metaverse and web3 as just another manifestation of very normal capitalism.
